Because I bought a quite expensive poppy pashmina type scarf from the National Memorial Arboritum, paid quite a lot for it and wear it a lot. I figure that's my contribution till the day I die 😁

During and after lockdown I stopped buying a poppy, partly because we didn't go to places which were selling them, and now because I pay for everything by card and have had two £10 notes in my purse for about two months and have no change.

What about you?

Poppy sellers in Aldi had a machine for card payments...

The poppy sellers in Morrisons also has card readers.

Great, I hope people contribute that way.

I tend not to unless the mood takes me (I gave a fatherless childhood after all, and also it annoys me that surviving veterans have to rely on charity)

I knitted some and added a safety pin, saves losing the shop bought ones.

Would always put money in the tin though, but don't think I'll be donating to the RBL this year or any other year.

I've bought loads - Iam i/c churchflowers for RemembranceSunday!

I have a poppy brooch that my father gave me so I wear that year after year.

I always pop a few quid in the tin and try and help the Forces homeless charities as well when I see them about.

I haven't bought one for years. It bugs me that every single person on tv and in parliament has to wear a poppy. If you have to wear one it doesn't really mean anything, does it? Like Rishi Sunak's teeny tiny enamel one.
And I know all about the sacrifices our servicemen and women made during the wars. My grandad was a PoW in WWII.
I choose to give to other charities.

I agree with you Cloverjo, forcing people to wear them takes so much from it!

I choose to wear mine for a number of reasons.
