Isn't that a penny off a pint?  But then the burden of the hikes in employers national insurance contributions and the minimum wage wlll be passed on to the customer making the pint considerably more expensive than it is now.  There are no favours to be had in this budget.  Quite the reverse.

dunno why they dropped 1p off a pint, that would never be passed on anyway and with the ENI hike the price of beer and everything else will have to go up. In the end the consumer pays.
