I'm looking for somewhere special to meet up with family Twixmas. For lunch or a late lunch. We usually gather at each other's houses but my Dad's passed away and instead of looking at an empty place, thought we'd do something different and eat out.

Instead of buying pressies for each other we play a couple of daft games where everyone wins a prize.

Hence needing an area separate from main pub/restaurant/hotel.

We are Blackpool and my brother is Rochdale so Bamber Bridge/Longridge would be about half way for us both.

I've tried googling but it's not really working.

Does anyone know of anywhere? Is Ferraris as nice at it looks?

Thank you in advance!

Perhaps hire a sports hall at the leisure centre in Bamber Bridge for your games and book your lunch at a nearby restaurant/pub that is within walking distance.

The Cavalier Lounge at the Gibbon Bridge Hotel , at Chipping (5 miles from Longridge), could be a good option:

What sort of games do you think they play Barsel? I doubt it's badminton or five a side footie, so I doubt a leisure centre is necessary 😉

I don't know Vegus, crisgal only described them as daft games, but I shouldn't think they could do that in a restaurant or pub.

We don't know the numbers or ages, so some of them might enjoy 5 a side or badminton. 😄

Haha, nothing energetic.  Usually just a silly card game. 16 of us, all adults. It doesn't really need to be private,  I suppose, but maybe with a lounge area where we could play the game after dinner.

Some lovely suggestions so far. Have sent a couple of enquiries.

You might also want to consider The Tickled Trout, right next to Jct 31 off the M6.

I can recommend this place (if it's not snowed in); food is excellent and the beers brilliant.

A couple of years since I was in the Tickled Trout, but wasn't as impressed as per previous visits.
