Bbc Quiz : Week 44
Good evening, all!
I could only manage a ‘passable’ THREE out of seven in the main quiz this week:
https:/
I did no better in the junior quiz either, with just TWO out of five:
https:/
So everyone should beat me easily enough this week!
Your turn!

I really, really, really hope that you'll find a new feline companion soon!
What about Pop?

. . . or Wilma? (Calico cats are always extra beautiful!)

We've not had many fireworks here yet and, fortunately from my cats' point of view, new housing developments (close to where fireworks used to be set off) mean that we no longer have a big and noisy public display every year. So, hopefully, the feline trio won't get too upset over the next few days. 🤞
Good Evening, Chris!
My scores tonight are
4/7, 4/5
Not been a much if a fan of Halloween since my own were little but must admit I very much enjoyed my new granddaughter' first Halloween this year and loved all the decorations and seeing her dressed up. She is growing so very fast and changing every time I see her.
I hope the terrific trio are behaving. Are they staying in more since the nights got shorter?
Wishing you all a wonderful week ahead :-)
Hi, Buen! Well I'm slightly stunned by 5/7, with only 1 guess , in the adult's quiz. I remember being struck by the name of that oak tree. I'm slightly stunned by 3/5 in the kids' - apart from the tree the others were guesses! So aggregate of 8.
OH managed to trip up over dog lead when Tyke veered off insearch of a scent today, so it's been a bandaging sort of day and a refreshment of dressings(scraped hands and knees, but he's on blood-thinners) beckons. Such is life!
Tyke is in the doghouse, but doesn't know it, loveto kitties. :)
My cats were best at hunting when they were around a year old, Haras2. They're far too lazy now!
Well done, Karamia!
Joint top!
It won't be long before you can go out trick-or-treating with your granddaughter!
I don't really 'do' Halloween but I leave a bucket full of Haribo mini-packs at the end of my front path, with a sign reading "Please take two packs for each little monster". (I'm not silly enough to put them all out at once, of course, in case the local teens nick the lot. I just keep topping up a small supply all night long). There's also a sign saying "Please don't knock, as it scares the cats". (They get terrified whenever anyone knocks at my door, so a whole evening of it would drive them totally potty!). It's an expensive way of keeping the cats happy - we got through 240 packs of sweets last night - but I still think that it's worth it anyway!
All three of the little darlings tend to spend most of their time indoors these days but I think that it's more to do with their age than with the change in the seasons. After her disappearance for a fortnight earlier this year, Tablo just wants to be near me all of the time anyway. She sleeps under the bedclothes with me all night long and frequently demands to be picked up and cuddled during the day. (She's on my desk, right alongside me, as I'm typing this).
We all hope that you'll have a really lovely week!
It's not really a kitten, Sandy. It's a mini-tiger at heart!
Well done on beating me, anyway!
Joint top, Jourdain2!
Well done!
'Proper' cats trip their human slaves up when they're half way down some stairs. 'Proper' dogs make use of their leads to trip their human pack leaders up almost anywhere. It's simply a law of nature! 😊
The feline trio and I hope that you, Mr J2 and Tyke will all have a lovely (and injury-free) week!
