Windows media player 11
I've got a new laptop. It will play copied DVD's but with retail ones it say's the following..........
Windows media player cannot play this dvd because there is a problem with the digital copy protection between your DVD drive, decoder, and video card. Try installing an updated driver for your video card.
How do i get round this but still use WMP11 and not real player or some other media player
In any case real player says...The DVD cannot be played. Key exchange for DVD copy protection failed.
Please help!

Do you need a program like Power DVD to install the correct software decoder for DVD playback to work?
See if you have a Power DVD (or other DVD program) CD in the package that came with laptop.
You can still use Media Player to play DVDs but power DVD includes the decoder for DVD playback.
