So Lets Shaft Our Farmers.....

In her garden, my daughter has one of those 1000 litre plastic water reservoirs in a tubular metal frame which catches rainwater. She wants to find a pump with enough oomph to attach to it or immerse in it to which she could fit a 20 metre hose in order to water the garden.
Any ideas what she should search for online (any links?). What specifications should she look for (flow rate, pressure etc)?
Thanks in advance for any help.

I'd suspect any decent water pump should manage 20m though.

Water butt pump is the thing to search for. We bought a B&Q one about 30 years ago and it's still going strong. People such as Hozelock also make them. The pump is waterproof and you just connect a hose to it and drop it into your water tank; the electric cable (mains) is permanently connected and we have ours permanently plugged into an outside socket (waterproof). We now have it connected to a 30metre hse and the pressure is adequate for watering the garden and washing the car.
