It seems to me that the vast majority of users on here don't like the new categories and sub-categories.
We all have our favourite categories and now it takes that much longer to look through all the sub-categories. You will probably find many less users than before unless you reverse this rediculous decision.
Please act before you drive away all the stalwarts on this site.

Now users have decided they don't want them after all. Users are never happy unless they're demanding something, even if it's the exact opposite of what they were demanding last week. However, use of all or any categories is NOT COMPULSORY.
Many fewer....is that an oxy moron? ;-)
Have to agree with jno I recall loads of folks asking for sub sections and whinging that they didn't know where to post such and such question because this facility was missing. Now they've got 'em...still aint happy!
You don't have to visit the separate categories if you don't want, it's not compulsory, unless the Monks are are being too aggressive again ;-)
I really think it'd be a good idea if we all give it a chance before immediately digging our heels in and deciding we don't like it.

i like it too - it helps filter out the stuff i am not interested in... and i can't see why it would take any longer to trawl through everything if thats what you want to do - there aren't more questions than there were last week, they are just filed differently and the time it takes to click a few other links if you want to see everything is pretty marginal....
i think people are just upset cos they don't enjoy change - i bet it doesn't drive you or any of the stalwarts away
