Also, I am their customer, they need me & I don't need them. So it is beholden of them to take notice & get on with selling products & not preach.
It's not only about ethnicities, I think giving (& expecting) all Boots staff members to wear gay-pride badges for Christmas is pretty outrageous.

As I said yesterday it's all part and parcel of conditioning. Encouraging the customer to adopt the woke mindset of inclusivity and diversity. Many big companies, in the City of London certainly, now promote similarly among their staff.
During the de-banking scandal brought to light by Nigel Farage (another plus). A clergyman questioned why when he went into his bank he had to be confronted by gay-pride flags, which he rightly opined had nothing at all to do with banking - and he got de-banked for it.
These woke clowns are not only self-righteous, they are authoritarian as well !

I think that’s the point, here, jack.
Advertising does not influence me in the slightest; I rarely, if ever, watch any live TV and when watching anything that I’ve recorded I swiftly fast-forward the adverts.
But I don’t need to be educated in the fact that there are mixed partnerships here in the multi-racial multi-cultural UK. I know there are. If I saw adverts and other situations where only all-white partnerships were portrayed it would not mean I would forget or dismiss that other versions are available (and even if I did, that would be my choice and my privilege).
But it seems that many organisations are under the impression that we do need constantly reminding.
But I take Atheist’s point about disparities across the country. There are parts of London where, if they lived in isolation, people seeing an advert with white people in it at all would find it a bit odd because they see so few of them when they are out and about. They may well ask the same sor of question as we are asking here.
But there is much, much more to the UK than London and the other major cities. In Wales, for example, 94% of the population identify as “white” with over 90% identifying as “White: Welsh, English, Scottish, Northern Irish or British”. I would also hazard a guess (and it’s only a guess) that the majority of those not identifying as white live in the major cities in the south.
But overall there is this creeping movement especially among government but also in some of the larger organisations to “educate the masses” that minorities with “Protected Characteristics” exist in far greater prevalence than they actually do. It’s really none of their business to get involved in that sort of subliminal inculcation.
Whilst it is an aside davebro, I too am astonished.
I could swim from a very young age and have always loved the water, including becoming a Master Scuba Diver, although somewhat ironically you don't need to be able to swim to Scuba.
My 74 year old MIL can't swim, and I just scratch my head and think why is that when it's just so easy. People float - we've all got two bags of air in our chest.
They can win by ignoring the over-vocal minorities who are making unreasonable demands. They clearly need a course in spotting and avoiding woke nonsense, and listening to and knowing the majority of their customers.
Hardly rocket science. Most of average intelligence or greater know this instinctively.
