Christmas presents.  When I got them home I noticed the 'best before ' date was February 2025

Am I right in thinking they must have been sitting on the shelf for some time?

Your seller may have studied willpower and it's limitations at the big school, Sandy. Two months should cover it. 😁

Still in date!

Won't last until Easter though.

Whatever shape they're in when opened the recipients will know it's the thought that counts.

It'll still be edible Easter and beyond. Just may not look it's best.

Tilly2

If I was gifted them they wouldn't last much beyond St Stephen's Day

I've just opened a box dated April 24 they are fine no difference in them at all.

St Stephen's Day=26  December.

Info for those who no longer subscribe to Christianity. 😉

If they'll be eaten before Valentines day... you'll be fine.

Refering to remembering ABer's thread they were a Trucker on here who let it be known (Panic Button) that used to start delivering Valentines and easter stuff all the time way before their due date etc.

Boxing day has to be pizza   ...   deep pan, crisp, and even. Just like in the carol.

To answer your actual question (which nobody has so far) I think you're probably right thinking that.

^. Better than cold turkey, stuffing and Brussel sprouts sandwiches

If you want to off load them I know someone who could eat them all for you.😂

I'm tempted to open a box just to make sure there's no 'bloom' on the chocolate.  There's no other reason I'd do that.

Another thing   ...   why is there no coffee flavour in the new and improved selection tins?

Coffee Cream seems to be a thing of the past sadly

Mmmm... coffee cream.
