And, no, electronic money isn't physical, you can't put it in your pocket. Like you can't put your credit card money in your pocket. It's all figures on your screen that others are willing to trust. (So a bit like banknotes in that respect, it's all trust.)
He claims." They [the council] are currently, in my opinion, withholding my property without my consent"
What a bloody idiot - he gave his consent when he put it in the bin for them to collect. If he's telling the truth (which I have serious doubts about), then he really is an absolute plonker.
I am reminded of a verse from Lonnie Donnegan's old song from the Sixties, My Old Man's a Dustman :-
Now, one day while in a hurry
He missed a lady's bin
He hadn't gone but a few yards
When she chased after him
"What game do you think you're playing"
She cried right from the heart
"You missed me, am I too late?"
"No, jump up on the cart!"
Perhaps this guy should follow suit 😀
The guy's frustration is understandable but if it really was worth £4 million when he threw it away that's just stupidity.
(I'm not sure bitcoin can be classed as a scam. If something has limited availablity it acquires value. Most of the gold in the world just sits unused in vaults but still is valued.)
