Is anyone else spending less time on AB now?

I am definitely spending less time reading posts and answering questions, because I can't be arsed to look through all the categories. There seems to be a lot less questions being posted, or are they just so spread out that it looks less?

Too much effort to go through that many sections to find out if there's anything interesting or that I know the answer to so I am spending less time on the site and can see myself giving up altogether soon if it doesn't change back
No
Oh i am but i have Redbel and Bob and Estie on MSN to chat to and we are such gossips lol Gotta say i have only been in genealogy and B&S today. It is not an efficient system and I struggle to find anyone i know now ;(

Same here dot, so many other groups that I really can't be bothered to spend as much time here. The old system made it easier to pop in and see if there were any updates.
I used to pop in everywhere. I can't anymore, too much effort.

I actually got some work done today!
Yes, just the 10 hours a day now for me
Well it is making me more selective in the questions I answer. Is that such a bad thing? Or maybe some of the Q's that I would normally answer in my preferred topics have been moved elsewhere.

So whilst I am spending the same amount of time here, I find I am contributing less.
I am spending hardly any time at all on here now which is great workwise but sad as I feel a bit lost on here now! As Octavius says,I am contributon far less as there is twice as many categories to trawl through.
Hello Pink, Dot, Whiskey, Lankeela etc, I'ver been looking for you all week:)
It's horrible. I'm spending less and less time on here which is a real shame, because I used to love reading and answering the questions and having a crafty chat as well.
Jenna had just started firting with me, now I can't even find her!
I've not seen wardy at all, nor ray, which I know technically is probably not the point, but half of the point/fun of AB were the debates that could be got going where all sorts of interesting and wider issues were answered.
It's too hard to navigate and you are right there are fewer and fewer questions.
Please can we have a nice user friendly site back ( but leave the genealogy section) :)

Well certainly I think that seems to be exactly what has happened zac. Whilst I've always been happy to have a chat here and there I have always tried wherever possible to give carefully considered answers and have done so literally thousands of times. Franly now I don't think I can be arsed to trawl through all th catagories, as even when you do answer what looks like a good debate, the responses are so few and slow moving as to make it hardly worthwhile at all, because the other person is also lost in the bowels of what is now a very big, very ungainly online encyclopedia, a sort of Jabba the Hut of the internet, crippled by it's own size.

There you are , nox! ;o) xxx
no..the main sections are still there.

I think a few of the subcatogories could go, like motor & law ones.

B&S is fine.

Some others are too specific but they still have the main categories to post in as normal
I did'nt like it at 1st but must admit it's growing on me now.
I am actually spending more time on AB at the moment, but that maybe because the tourist season is over, my husband is back at work, and my daughter has moved out.
agree with you lankeela, i've tried staying put with all the subcats but it's to much scanning up & down, in & out etc... don't think i'll be bothering much now with it :-(

Seems to me that people might be spreading themselves thinly. Probably spending about the same amount of time on here, but trying to get round more sections makes it more difficult. I just had a quick count and made out that there about were ninety (90) sections. Far too many.
