Another nippy one here! Frosty but no snow. Yet according to local weather the temp is suddenly going to rise tomorrow and be 14-15 degrees all weekend! Can't quite see it myself lol.
Going to try and book hotel today for next weekend - have managed to get MrSmow to juggle work for at least nxt Friday & drive down to Devon with me to see YoungSmow & baby(whom he has never met yet). Will drive down on the fri(he's gona carry on work/calls in car) then will see them on the sat &sun, then drive home early Mon. Can't wait for more snuggles - baby Theo was just a couple of weeks old when I saw him and it's gone so quick!
Anyone got any plans for today? I don't have to do any shopping as I had an Amazon Fresh order yesterday, so that's one less job!

My in-laws are devoted Waitrose customers for years & years lol, but since they moved house in June they now have a very local huge Tescos, and they are converts! I never thought I'd see the day but now they do nothing but sing its praises!
-4 here and the 2" of snow from yesterday's blizzard has frozen. We have to get out to try to get to Tesco's (nearer than Morrison's by at least 3 miles). They promise us more snow on Saturday followed by torrential rain and gales on Sunday (when I have to drive 50 miles to younger daughter's to take her birthday present and Advent Calendars for the kids. Help!!
Hi Smow and all. I could do without icy roads and road closures at the moment. I had 3 hospital appointments at 2 different hospitals in less than 26 hours already this week. I cannot complain about the NHS at all. Gearing up for a major op next week, car MOT tomorrow and signing a new will on Monday! I certainly picked the right pal to be my NoK, she has been brilliant attending hospitals with me. Bless her. I hope you all have the best day you can and hope you all take care.
Morning Smow and everyone. We have had no more snow but what we had has frozen so its quite slippy. I have had three bad falls in recent years so I daren't chance it, so I am staying at home for the time being. At least it is bright and sunny. Mr R is going in to town to get peanuts for the birds, they need it
Have a happy day everyone, stay safe and warm
Morning Rosetta & choux. Yes pls both stay safe if it's icy - you really do not need any more mishaps at all! I always say the snow and shimmer ice look lovely as long as you don't have to go outside in it! My MIL was talking the other day about 'The Big Freeze of 1963/64'. I wasn't born, but she was saying that it apparently started snowing on Boxing Day evening and the snow stayed until March!!
