Am I missing something, overnight Russia fired hundreds of missiles into Ukraine but as Trump has said he intends ending the war very quickly, why doesn't Putin just sort of sit on his hands for about 5 weeks and then get pretty much what he wants.

I think Putin will settle for the  territory he now occupies, but Ukraine will have to leave the bit of Russia they have, he will never ever invade any country that's a NATO member whoever is in the white house, that's why he got so concerned when there was talk of Ukraine joining NATO.

If Putin tried to occupy all Ukraine then it really would be WWIII.
