While this is open to all MP's it was only Labour MP's who voted to abolish WFA, while claiming the same for themselves. Hypocrites or what?

This is nothing new, it's been the case as long as I can remember.

Why do they need two homes? They could live in their constituency and stay in a dormitory or hotel when they attend Parliament if it's too far to travel.

You will see here that Tory, reform, independent and others voted for scrapping WFA. Some labour MPs abstained and many voted against

Liz Kendall voted against

Question Author

While MP's expenses have been the subject of much discussion over the years, the point is that Liz Kendal abolished WFA for the most vunerable, while claiming the same for her second home. These people have no conscience or regard for anybody other then themselves.

I don't know why it's in the news. It's not a new revelation

Liz Kendall voted against it

The un-employed are expected to be willing to travel for up to 2 hrs (to and from) a prospective place of work.

MPs who live within 2 hours travel (by car or public transport) of the Houses of Parliament should be barred from having a second residence paid for by the tax payers.

Me first, party second, country third, it was ever thus.

Nice attempt at deflection there BArry.

The underlying problem is once again the hypocracy.  Plus the amounts.  As said above just provide a reasonable hotel (if you can find one that isnt full of illegals) and the tax payer fund that.  It's how I had to live for years.

barry  If you look at the chart you supplied, you will see that Kendall voted Against BLOCKING the cuts.  In other words she voted to abolish WFA. Thank you for providing that confirmation.

Thanks for that

Question Author

In fact looking through the list provided by Barry, I can see not one Labour MP voted FOR BLOCKING the cuts, but some did take the cowards way out and either abstained or did not turn up for the vote.
