I was hoping for something tougher this week. Most of the clues were of Telegraph difficulty.

The theme was fairly obvious after solving a few clues. The PDM for the title was nice.

Thanks, Aedites.

Well, it was an impressive achievement to get in so much thematic material, and a commendably concise preamble, but I have to agree with emcee about the clues.  I finished this in under an hour and I am far from being an expert on the theme.  I can imagine that someone who is would  be writing the answers in as they read.   But thanks Aedites, an enjoyable solve.

Yes, this would have made an excellent January puzzle, so I'm surprised to see it now. I'm no expert in the theme, but is one pair of answers a little off-piste?  Thanks, Aedites!

Great fun with loads of thematic material although some of the clues were a bit clunking but gladly no grid staring.

Thanks, Aedites.

A pushover this week.

Must try harder Aedites.

Tempted to say "who let you out of the cage," but that would be rude, so I won't.

Yes, definitely on the easy side, but as others say, plenty of thematic material and neat title. Broadened my knowledge of the theme.

Thanks, Aedites.

Yup, a gentle stroll.

In other news, for any of you who are online subscribers and, like me, have had to grit your teeth when the Times removed their £5 a month puzzle option a while back -

and have been forking out £26 instead - well the puzzle option is back and a nice man on the helpline transferred my account this morning and took my last full payment in lieu of the next 5 months of the cheaper package. Well pleased!
