//US President-elect Donald Trump has issued an apparent warning to Hamas, threatening "all hell to pay" if hostages held by the Palestinian group in Gaza are not released by the time he returns to the White House on 20 January.

Dozens of people who were snatched during the 7 October 2023 Hamas attack on Israel remain unaccounted for. On Monday, the Israeli military said an Israeli-American soldier who it believed to be a captive had in fact been killed last October.

Without mentioning Hamas by name, Trump posted online the same day: "Those responsible will be hit harder than anybody has been hit in the long and storied history of the United States of America."//

Will Hamas heed the warning and release the hostages -  and if they don't - what then?

What could he do to the people of Palestine that the Israelis haven't done already?

....visit?

The Donald will act, bigly.

Do you really believe many can still be alive?  Hamas is playing with a busted flush. One is, or was alive the other day, when they showed the poor devil on a video begging for release.

Why did he not say how many of them there are and why hasn't there been a picture of a group holding a current newspaper?

14:03 Not Palestine Gaza.

I suspect Trump realises (or at least his aides do) that the hostages are dead.  This at least might force closure.

If not I am sure he has something up his sleeve.

Assuming you mean Gaza, quite a bit I would imagine.  Most likely to go after their backers though than a bunch of rag heads.

In the end the world will have to fix the Islam problem, why not now before we get into a WW3 situation with them?

Gaza has been pretty much flattened as it is. It's difficult to see what 'all hell to pay' will entail.

Maybe he plans to dance for them.

^^ I don't mind a joke now & then, but this is a serious issue. 🙄

Maybe he can get the ordinary, decent Gazans and Palestinians to finally rise up and exterminate their Hamas and Hezbollah oppressors.

The President Elect thought it good enough for a home audience, Khandro, it may work on the unwashed heathen too.

He moves in mysterious ways his wonders to perform.

Can someone tell me why Hamas are continuing to fight?

They cant win a war against Israel, so why carry on especially as Hezbollah has by and large packed in it.

The remaining hostages must be released immediately

He risks them being released, but unmoving. Hope he wins his gamble.

Hezbollah haven't packed it in.  They've said they haven't packed it in.  None of those Islamic groups will ever pack it in.

Fiveleaves, Hamas are continuing to fight because their stated mission is the total destruction of Israel - to be replaced by an Islamic state.  They will never stop.

hamas will never stop until they are wiped out, they are in the perfect position to target israel being next door, as naomi said, they want to kill all jews in israel and abroad, an islamic version of the ss, as for trump erm he could drop a few GBU-57's,= no tunnels left for hamas to hide, then it's mopping up by the idf.

flatten Gaza more

1945 After hiroshima ( er which  is  not  in the middle east), Japan didnt surrender fast enough. So Curtis LeMay ( ran as vice president with George Wallace of Alabamy ) flattened Tokyo ( 20  sq mi)  - but surely it was flat before?
