Thanks for those replies. I wasn't aware of his connection to the Kings' Foundation. I actually think he is a very caring dad. 

Here is a little story about him. About 20 years ago, my next door neighbour was shopping in the Trafford Centre and waiting outside a shop with his son while his wife was inside. On the opposite side of the mall, there was a guy with a flat cap pulled down and his collar up, with a young boy at his side. Despite the attempted disguise, my neighbour immediately recognized him as David Beckham and told his son, who looked over and made eye contact with Beckham, who smiled and winked at him. They asked for his autograph (pre selfies) which he did and was very nice with everyone, whilst Victoria was inside getting all her goodies. A memorable day!

He seems to keep his feet on the ground though.  He's unpretentious.  i was really impressed when he joined the queue to pay tribute to the late queen at Westminster Hall.  No 'do you know who I am?' from him.  He took his turn with the rest.

I saw the menu - nothing much to write home about - consomme/zuppa -  stuffed birdie that Charlie had shot - and predictable desserts

One of the rubber chicken circuits - Clarion if you were entertainning Chaz and Camilla - you would be given a choice of  suppliers and they would supply a list of menus suitable

The fun runs out really quickly

If you were at home in Radium St, you would have to ensure two entrances to the dinning room one for the royal to go in and out of and the other  for the proles

give it a miss and take your missus out for fish and chips
