 Each crossword square can have one or two letters, which must be letters of an elemental symbol, or the letters D or T (for deuterium or tritium). For example, Dalton could be written D(Al)TON.

Sorry, I inadvertently put st instead of es. The word OKTOBERFEST contains several elements: BE, RF, ES

If a square contains two letters and that square is in two answers, does that mean both answers must have those letters or could it be either letter in one of the answers?

There are five other clues that share some of the letters in Oktoberfest which is why I asked my previous question for clarification.

If two answers must share both letters in a square with two letters, that should eliminate some of the possible combinations.
