I know this subject has been done to death at times on AB but I would be interested to hear...
1) If you are a believer (maybe had some unexplained experience) what would convince you that there is a rational explanation?
2) if you are an unbeliever, what would convince you that paranormal events happen that our current understanding can't explain?

Basically, it's all a load of nothingness. We are here. The dead are sadly no longer with us.
The paranormal includes a lot of religious experiences, literally "denoting events or phenomena such as that are beyond the scope of normal scientific understanding", ie not scientific. I don't believe in God or religion, and I don't believe other paranormal events - I think of them all in the same way.
