Already nasty out there, rain and wind gusts up to 60  mph .....tomorrow lunchtime being forecast to be the worst down here.

Take care of yourselves if you are lifting up the west side of Britain and esp. in Wales and the Severn Estuary/Bristol Channel.

We have a steady blow from the South at present with plenty of that small droplet rain. The wind is due to swing around to  come from a Westerly direction in the next hour or so and from the North by about 3AM. Then it will be blowing hard. It is going to be much worse though on the NW Anglesey coast and down on the LLyn. Would not like to be out there tonight.

As I intimated earlier. It is not the storm as such that bothers us but the prospect of damage to the power systems. The utility structures are pretty robust up here after decades of hard lessons up in the exposed high ground areas but the risk is always high. It is not nice to be without electrickery for a day or so, now we are getting older, and the thaassands of bleedin windmills are inoperable when it is "too windy".

breezy down here but not too much rain at the moment. I'll venture out for a paper, bread and a coffee in half an hour.....

Well it did blow and bring heavy rain, and still is, but nothing we haven't experienced before. The only new thing is the nuclear attack style howler warnings on our phones and the general ramping up of an "official" attempt at induced panic and stress.

One fence panel out so far. And a bit of garden netting pulled off it's supports.

It's a little breezy out there.

I put the bins in the garage but otherwise we have managed 80mph several times before

The west coast of Scotland was shocking last night and today is far windier than normal

I had a warning on my mobile...at 3 AM!!! Things are bashing about outside. Supposedly gusting to 68mph. Daughter says its only 43mph in London but still noisy.

The wind is coming from Cornwall as usual.

Still no let up here on the Somerset coast. Windows are leaking. Attic is creaking. I just want to keep my roof on.
