'Advert' first:
For anyone who missed it, the link to my big (75 question) quiz is here:
https://www.theanswerbank.co.uk/ChatterBank/Question1884087.html

Getting back to more normal business, I thought that I might score a maximum 7 this week on the main quiz wheen I got the first five right.  However that's as far as it went!  So that's FIVE out of seven for me then:

My luck was in on the junior quiz though, with a maximum FIVE out of five this week:

Can anyone beat my aggregate score of 10 this week, I wonder?

Your turn, anyway!

I bow to your superioity this week, chris.

A measly 2/7 and a decent enough 4/5.

Like LIK, i have also bookmarked your quiz and may have a go at it when i'm next at a loose end.

'Pass marks', anyway, I think, Arky!

Well done on being quite a good kid this week, anyway, Ken!

The download link for my quiz is valid for the next 4 weeks but there's nothing to prevent you from downloading it now and then accessing it at a later date.

4/7 and 5/5.

First time ever I've got a maximum score.

Well done, Sandy!

A perfect kid at last!

Your mum would have been proud of you! ðŸ˜„

3/7,3/5. Distinctly average. Bailey has had a little trip to the vets this week as he has made a big hole in the cyst on his face that just isn't healing. Have the feeling he is heading for an operation. Puss Puss just continues to have his Tigger bounce. Hope all is good with you and yours.

Question Author

^^^ "Distinctly average".  That reads like my school reports did ðŸ˜Š

I hope that darling Bailey is fully fit soon.

My lot are all fine and staying warm here in my bedroom.

Have a good week, Campbellking!

2/7

2/5

Question Author

Oh well, it could have been worse, I suppose, Kwillmott ðŸ˜Š

Better luck next week!

Didn't do the big quiz; too many questions. I get bored.

However, int tothers, twas further confirmation that I know nothing with 2/7 and 2/5.

The Norwegian Christmas tree is a gift from Norway in recognition of the help received from the UK in WW2 whereby the Norwegian royal family, dignitaries, the countrys' gold reserves and crown jewels were all transported to the UK by the Royal Navy; HM Ships Devonshire and Glasgow being the main two vessels in that operation. HMS Glasgow carried 25 tons of gold. HMS Devonshire carried many dignitaries as well as the royal family, amongst being Fred Olsen, he of the shipping line. Told you I knew nothing! ðŸ˜„ Twas all part of Operation Alphabet.

Question Author

Hi, 10CS!

I wasn't really expecting many people to have a go at the big quiz but, if you do get tempted, the audio and picture questions help to break it up into more manageable chunks, I think.

At least you managed to avoid any really disastrous scores this week!
(Better luck next week though!)

At least the Trafalgar Square Christmas tree comes from somewhere (i.e. Norway) that sounds a bit Christmassy.  The one in Covent Garden always comes from Solihull, which simply doesn't have the same ring to it!

We used to have a lovely artificial tree by the university here in Ipswich

but, alas, it was so badly damaged in a storm last year that it won't be returning ðŸ˜Ē

Those links aren't spoilers are they Chris? I won't look if they are I down loaded the 'BIG' quiz you set, I'v not unzipped it yet, am planning to have a bat this week.

Question Author

^^^ The links are only about Christmas trees in general, Arky.

Good luck on the big quiz!
(I think that you might quite enjoy it.  It's definitely NOT a long list of boring questions about "When was the battle of Agincourt?" or "What's the capital of Albania?".  I hope that the audio and picture questions will make it far more interesting than that for you).

Smooth... if there's a football question I might have a clue... Music ones are always welcome to me and playing audio file not a problem... I will post results one here. ðŸĪŠ

Question Author

From memory, Arky, there's one football question, five chart music questions and five other music questions.  So you should be able to get a few right, at least! ðŸ˜Š

Phew! I won't count my Turkeys just yet though.
