No sooner you switch the TV on the begging starts. They've seem to be running out of wildlife options to beg for, we now have, give £3 a month to bring a cat in from the cold. Next it will be £3 for a Budgie OR, £3  a month to bring a Tory in from the cold. :0)

No charity gets free TV advertising, they might get reduced rates for advertising slots off peak but that is the same for other advertisers. The amount of truly depressing daytime adverts is appalling, relentless.Ā  If they aren't begging, they are flogging funeral plans, life insurance, care services or mobility aids.

šŸŽµNo. Don't drink, don't smoke, what do you do?

If you couldn't bring yourself to be charitable around this time, then when?

The world can seem to be a cold and uncaring place.  Give a little and you might make it a bit better for someone.

These ads, like all ads, are aimed at those who may be persuaded, not those who have no intention of buying or donating. They must think it's worthwhile. There's no compulsion- they're not demanding that we 'Stand and Deliver'

17.34 The world is full of scammers. Like I said before the so called donkey charity is just down right rubbish, showing donkies that have been worked to death for years  they are old and crippled, theres only one option for a donkey in that state like it or not, a gun to the head. Your making some vet rich and also paying someone a fat wage for doing nothing but manage the funds coming in. £3 a month for a cat in this country is also paying fat wages to greedy vets.

Nicebloke, the donkey charity is genuine.  A friend of mine owns livery stables.  She takes rescue donkeys.

Not the ones over seas, places like India were they over load them with silly weights and cripple their legs up. Here they dont let them get into that state no more than horses.

You might be surprised, Nicebloke.

How much for a Canary ???? šŸ˜

They will be less- I heard they are going 'cheap'

Boom boom!

Not nice calling our Canary cheap though

I donate money each month to CP (Cat's Protection) and volunteer with Oxfam.

I stick to those two - but there are so many charities out there begging for money, tugging at our heart strings.

Stick to local charities around the area where you live, not the big ones who pay their directors 5 figure salaries.
