Lump Left After A Bang On Face

about a month/5 wks or so ago i knocked a metal box down onto myself, quite heavy, & the bottom edge hit me exactly in the dent between the forehead & nose, between the eyes.

It swelled up & my eyes went a bit black, even though it hadnt actually hit them.
there was no wound or blood etc

Trouble is, the swelling & bruising has gone, but im left with a little round lump about the size of a small pea, that wont go away.
Its quite firm & i've massaged it to flatten it afew times, & it definitely feels a lot flatter, at the time, but then it goes back to round again!

Hard to say if the massge worked a bit at this stage, but anyone know why its there & wont go away?
is this normal & it'll it just take longer?

i figure its a sort of blood blister dried up perhaps?

Any ideas to reduce it or might it need cutting out or 'draining' or something?

thanks :)

Probably some fluid swelling, in my inexpert opinion. If it is anything like the huge lump I got on my body years ago when a ladder collapsed as I used it, it could stay for years gradually reducing.

Maybe ask your GP ?

I've got something similar after I fell and banged my face. There's a lump below my cheekbone. I'd actually forgotten about it until just now, reading your post. I've just been feeling my face and the lump is still there after 30 years. It doesn't cause any problems.

If yours is unsightly you might want it chopped out,but I wouldn't worry about it, otherwise.
