We've all got them, what are yours?

I can't help it, whenever I hear a foreign phrase or a word I've never heard before on TV  I have to repeat it. It's an unconscious reaction.

How long have you got πŸ€£

Question Author

I'm here all day, folks 😁

Don't ask me, ask my wife.

Question Author

I'm sure she lets you know, bookbinder.

that is echolallia innit

I will  let you loot that one up

Maybe, its an old age thing, but i will go through to the kitchen to do something,by the time i get to the kitchen i have forgotten what i intended to do.Strange.

Not sure if it's annoying, but apparently I talk in my sleep.  The ex Mrs L-i K told me I'd been talking about a sheep in the wardrobe & my brother said I'd had a long conversation with someone whilst "speaking in tongues"; the closest match he could think of was Klingon. πŸ€ͺ

forgetting things - life long - unless you flag them

Not really annoying but I lock the door and then go back later to check if I have done this, same with the cooker to see if I have put it off.

the closest match he could think of was Klingon. πŸ€ͺ

my gard !

Klingon was constructed as a very rare VOS language - verb-object-subject

orange - ate - I  - sudduv found in New Guinea

echolalia

Don't look it up Barry, it might disturb you πŸ˜€

This is a reassurance ritual - like the joke where the fella does head, testicles, wallet and watch

I do: ignition( all fires off) tablets, teeth, pockets ( wallet and phone in one, eyedrps and keys in other)

so there is none of this " I think I left the fire on" bit

Obsession and OCD but not a problem unless you decide you can only do "teeth" by scrubbing them for 30 mins

or checking the fire 10 times

echolalia. Don't look it up Barry, it might disturb you πŸ˜€

hmm my little plan didnt work....Barry wd get sucked into a vortex of madness and hallucination. But luckily he is a mod and just sat there on his bottom, sucking his thumb.

Part of OCD - You know those super market boopers? - boop? boop! I answered

I was asked not to imitate the booper ( I was quite good actually) esp when I did five as semi-quavers as it upset the check out

I didnt do so well on the trimphone impersonation contest

My husband grinds his teeth so hard his jaw clicks, it drives me mad.
I,of course, am perfectπŸ˜‡ πŸ˜‰

Not half as disturbing as echolabia though, Canary.

Society need OCD since forever - they turn into instrument arificers andsniper

so the gene doesnt die out

This really isnt AB fodder is it? foo-dappa-dap babies !

Question Author

It's good to be aware of our annoying traits, even if we can't stop them.

I apologise in advance πŸ˜‚

It's good to be aware of our annoying traits,

First described by Tourette ( now a spectrum) after a lady of the French court ( sort of 1830)  asked for help as her signs ( outbreaks of swear words in this case) were impeding her ( or her husbands) career

Question Author

It's more of a Pavlova's dog scenario than Tourettes - a handgover from my school days learning parrot fashion, especially foreign languages.
