Well, it's Christmas Eve Eve!! lol. It's dry outside, and pretty nippy, perfect for Santa tomorrow night : )

Managed to wrap the in-laws presents yesterday - just MrSmows to do today and then that's it! Just a couple of things I want to pick up at the local shops but nothing urgent. Both cats still haven't even touched the Christmas  tree, or a single present underneath it, which I'm amazed about considering all the lights and baubles!
So after I've done my bits today I mite just be ultra lazy for a change and put my feet up & watch nonsense TV.

Any last minute bits to do guys, or have you left it all till the last minute?? Either way I'm sure it will all get done : )

Morning, sorry to burst your bubble Smow but it is not Christmas Eve until tomorrow, only 23rd today.

I am off to get fresh veg and somethng for tonight and tomorrow.  Then this afternoon a hair cut.

You have well trained cats, when we had 2 they had a good go at demolishing the tree every year.,

Hi ubasses - read my post again lol!

And yes my two are 3 but funnily enough the tree doesn't seem to interest them. Now give them a cardboard box!! lol

Smow's right - it's Christmas Eve Eve 😁

I watched a documentary about a camel journey last night, just before bed. Very relaxing it was, too

Smow, doesn't your husband hunt for his present before you wrap it?

Morning Barry! No he doesn't lol. He's not that exciteable LOL. I normally hid his stuff at the back of my wardrobe. Mind you, considering he is the hardest person in the world to buy for he's lucky I ever manage to think of anything!

Just picking up a fresh loaf Christmas eve,  Quick stop at GP to drop off some bp results then I am going for a random wander, need some sparkly knitting wool to finish a project, then  that's it.

Question Author

Morning  Rowan - sparkly wool, ooh what are you knitting? When I was tiny my mum taught me to knit & I thought nothing of it when my friends were all in their 20's and baffled as how/why I did this 'old lady' thing in their words. But since then it's got more and more popular and even tho I've not done it for years and years I still love seeing people creations : )

A christening blanket, as they felt a shawl wouldn't be warm enough.  I don't knit that much, mostly do embroidery and painting.

Wrapped some presents, Pilates class, a (final) top-up shop, drink with a couple of mates.

Question Author

Oh a christening blanket sounds so lovely x

Morning dr - Pilates, sounds very healthy lol. Will this top-up shop end up running into a big shop like some people lol?

I tried Pilates once - the hundreds nearly saw me off.

Question Author

lol, think I tried it years ago too. Ended up taking up Zumba instead lol.

Morning all. I tried Pilates a few times but preferred yoga. I can't do it anymore, not bendy enough. I must do something about my mobility in the New Year, thats the first resolution likely to go the way of all others lol.

I've a few presents to wrap. OH is taking a friend to an out patient appoinment later so I shall probably use thw time on my own to wrestle the sellotape.

Have a happy day everyone

Good morning all. Will pop out locally later to pick up some milk and bread, then that is it. Will try to see if the library is open so I have something interesting to read between Xmas and New Year. The bin men came early this morning so at least no problem of dealing with rubbish.

Good afternoon all.

I got an early bus into town for a last minute purchase this morning, traffic was building but got home again with no delay.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to Smow and everybody who enjoys the GMEB threads.

P.S. It's New Years eve eve eve eve eve eve eve eve eve 🤣

The top-up shop stayed fairly small. I went to Sainsbury's, no baskets, no trollies, massive queue at the checkout. So I left.

A while a go they got rid of most of the staffed checkouts and moved the self-service ones, replaced with a sales large area. Lots of booze and boxes of chox and biscuits stacked by the door. Guess what, they gets nicked.

So I went to a nearby Tesco. Full. A queue, but I was in and out within 15 minutes!

Mercadona had no queues
