I am trying to import a csv file of my contacts into Outlook Express 6 - it is not going so well.

I have taken a file from a seperate google account and wish to add them to my current outlook contacts. Saldy it is yet to work for me!

I've tried to rename it as a .wab file, but with no luck.

Thanks in advance!

Renaming a CSV as a WAB, won't make it a WAB, any more than sticking a Ford badge on a Nissan will make it a Ford.

GMail offers the options of exporting your contacts as vCards, And OE offers the option of importing from vCards.

I haven't tried that, but I would guess it would work.
Can't you just go file > import > address book (or other address book) in outlook express?

I can't remember which of the two gives you the option to import a CSV address book, but one of them does.
Outlook Express .. File ... Import ... Other Address Book .. csv txt file.
You 'could use Excel to make a csv and load it with the GMail data. Then load it to OE.

OTHER address book was obviously not there last time...

Yes, that is the only way to explain it. Obviously.

Thanks all.
