Trouble is, nothing sounded convincing as things people would actually say, just sounded like words on a page. And his bride-to-be was such a monster I didn't believe Smithy would ever have gone out with her.
Incidentally, something I've been wondering about a lot recently. How is it decided in TV dramas (and films) like this how much everyone gets paid? There must mave been at least 30 speaking parts, so is it to do with amount of time on screen? Number of lines? Amount of time on set? Number of days filming?
And who decides?
