My late mother lived at a house with number 58 on a road that ran in an L shape, the next street cut into it just past the L bend. No 58 was at the bottom of that street they did some work which included moving the front door. End result two number 58 front doors in the same road. Things were always being delivered to wrong house.
I would hardly call this an intruder alert. But realise you don't want anyone mistakenly entering your house.
Call the care providers and make them aware of the situation.
And although there could well be new carers from time to time, any agency worth their salt will have the same rotation of carers going so they should get to the right house once they know the layout of the streets.
If it persists then a note on the door or a map with his name on it by the front door.
But rest assured you can't really manage the incompetence of others. Just manage how you deal with them.
I was with a neighbour who was being cuckooed. The cucko came in silently and stuck his head around the corner and said
All right John ?
I just about died from fear. ( see thread on taboo actions)
sc 2 is Peter there with you ? ( me, for I was present) Yes he is and he is listening to this !
sc 3 - there is someone in the house John, {Cuckoo found half way up stairs.)
