Days of fog/ mist have finally cleared a bit and today looks fairly clear. So much to catch up on today but I have a rotten headache and my spine is really suffering. Have taken pain relief but not doing anything so far. 
Daughter is driving back home midday today(roughly) as she has work tomorrow. We spent ages talking to her late lastnight about the whole situation/suggestions etc etc......am really hoping that they can sort it out as despite a few things that have happened which she has told us about & which I am  v unhappy about he is a good guy. Told her to at least spk to him on the fone before she goes back but she wouldn't. Just pray she doesn't arrive home and it all kicks off again. And in the midst of all this drama of the last 3 days middle son messages and says "Can we all come and stay on Tuesday for 3 days?". That's tomorrow!! 😵‍💫😵‍💫

Morning, well that is nice but it sounds like you are doing too much.  Your daughter, your son and your husband all seem happy to let you cripple yourself.

I think you need to stand up for yourself.

Hi DDIL, actually MrSmow has been brilliant - he cooked breakfast for everyone yesterday, has nipped to shops several times, and looked after girls whilst we went out to grab some bits they needed, and my daughter installed on cleaning bathroom & kitchen from head to toe yesterday and she said she couldn't just sit about. X

Well your chivvying up the children trip is certainly paying dividends! Just maybe sooner and in greater concentration than you had anticipated. Good luck!

Good morning everyone. Sorry to hear you are in pain again Smow, hope the pain rekief kicks in soon. Quite sunny here, going to go out when I get myself organised, so I don't have to go out the next two days.

Going to see godson and his brother on Thursday which will be nice. His parents were my friends, and I taught with his mother. Both younger than me and now gone, so I suppose I represent the "older generation" to them.

Hope your daughter sorts her problems out, and you have a super visit from your son.

Morning all. I am glad the family are chipping in Smow, its a lot to do all on your own, though I am sure its lovely to see them all you have a fair bit on your plate health wise.

We used to meet up with friends over new years eve, alternating with them coming to us and vice versa, but we haven't done that for some years. It will be a quiet one for us. Apart from the fireworks the celebration programmes on the tele leave me cold. I will be ultra glad to see the back of this year, its been horrendous.

Try and take it easy on yourself Smow, if you can. Have a happy day everyone
