It's not just Afghanistan - they are at the far extreme. Many Muslim dominated countries have laws restricting women and treating them as second class citizens (if indeed they are classed as citizens at all).

It happens to some degree in ethnic communities in Britain and will only spread. What is the saying - "For evil to prosper it is enough that the good do nothing."
