Was the above Acer Chromebook definitely released on the market in 2020?

No, I can see their appeal, not everyone needs a full blown Windows or Apple computer with everything stored on their hard drives/SSD, with loads of peripherals attached. 

Cloud computing makes sense to me - I use it.  I'm a fan of Google anyway (I know that's controversial) so I'd find one useful.  As it is I have too much tech gadgets to warrant buying another.

Do i need to worry about virus protection - or does the chromebook comes with adequate protection ?

I don't know.  Google says no, security software people say yes.

So far, are you pleased with it?  I have an Acer all in one (ancient now) and have had an Acer laptop - I've been very happy with both.
