oh Oldham prosecutions - ELon is the one that accused one of the Thai-English rescuers was a peedo - 

It is all down to Money - an inquiry costs now about £50-100m ( Lawyers "Yaay!") and if London does it, London pays  - and if it is the council  then the oldham council tax payer pays

so it is not whether there should be an inquiry but amongst whom should the costs be spread

Why should he ? he has greater connections to Britain than the US.

Born in S.Africa. ten years after it left the Commonwealth, so his parents brought him up in an ethos of Britishness and his mother was born in Canada. 

Apart from later in life taking US citizenship, he sees his 'DNA' as being British & I for one, welcome him to speak as he wishes.

Of course the king isn't going to do anything but this should be thoroughly embarrassing for Keir and his cronies - which is why Gulliver hasn't expanded on it.  Instead of making friends in high places which, if they had an iota of common sense and diplomacy in them they would be doing, this government is not only making itself and this country a laughing stock - it is making enemies - and powerful ones.
