...do you mash it, let it draw, let it sit, or something else?

New Judge, I was using tea bags which went into the compost heap after use, I realised that the bags were not totally breaking down. I've since read that there is some plastic in tea bags which answers the question, which has me thinking is this another source of micro plastics getting in to our bodies or into the soil.

There seems to be a band of members determined to disallow local terms for the making of tea for some reason.

I suppose teabagging is out too. 🤨

We don't do much of that in our house, Doogie....:)

A little stir, then let it be for a minute or two. 😃

The only 'right way' to make tea is the way you, personally like it...be it brewed for ages, tea bag, lose tea, teapot, cup, mug, whatever.

Personally I dislike tea which has been brewing for more than 20 seconds..a quick swish of the teabag in a mug, fish it out, don't press said teabag at all. Drink half, throw the rest down the sink.

Who made the tea drinking rules anyway???

My friend used to dip a teabag in hot water for one second  and top up with milk. 🤷🏻‍♀️

"Who made the tea drinking rules anyway???"

The same crowd who dictated that the fork should be held in the left hand I guess.

Oh no Douglas - I hold the fork in my right hand.

Me too maggie, fight the power, although I'm sure someone is itching to come down like a ton of bricks re falling standards. 😂
