I've since read that there is some plastic in tea bags which answers the question, which has me thinking is this another source of micro plastics getting in to our bodies or into the soil.
The only 'right way' to make tea is the way you, personally like it...be it brewed for ages, tea bag, lose tea, teapot, cup, mug, whatever.
Personally I dislike tea which has been brewing for more than 20 seconds..a quick swish of the teabag in a mug, fish it out, don't press said teabag at all. Drink half, throw the rest down the sink.
Who made the tea drinking rules anyway???
