Tipical tories, if we cant whip up enough support lets try bribery, van loads of free food to attract more support. With only 270k signatures to support their claims I suppose its not looking to good. Just pay your tax and like everyone else and stop bleating.

if that's directed at me... no. i think the change to iht regarding farmland is foolish and destructive.

^^Which was a question to nicebloke.

I agree 100% with your post, untitled. (NJ retires for a lie down after emergency treatment with smelling salts).  😀

So nicebloke, what do you eat to survive? Are you one of those ascetic monks that claim to survive on nothing more than fresh air?

How they decide to pay their tax bill is down to them. You could ask Jeremy Clarkson, what direction he will take.

So you dont eat anything nicebloke?

//How they decide to pay their tax bill is down to them. //

You really don't get it, nicebloke.

nicebloke has dug himself into a hole. Now instead of getting out,he is digging himself into a bigger hole. The geezer doesnt know his ares from his elbow.

10.50an - and therein lies the problem. The niceblokes of the world seem to think farmers are all rich like Clarkson rather than the reality of the vast majority of them not being rich and their families having to sell the farms to meet the tax burden.

Clarkson has always been open that his purchase of the farm was for the favourable tax conditions.

Question Author

Shame the others are not so open.  But continue to shout povety and attempt to blackmail the public with threats of shortages. ^^

If I'd to reply to some of the comments on here I'd probably be banned for life.

Well the rally didn't really make big news did it, so maybe there is little more for you to comment on. ^^

One of the richest being the then Prince Charles who produced organic food that no one could afford, and the organic business went bust. I wounder how much free government £££££s he got. And theres many more like him.

BA to gully.

So now you've slapped each other on the back, I'll ask agin, then:

Do you think it's right that a farming family might be forced to sell all or part of their farm simple because one of them has died?

And could you consider that question in relation to normal farming families rather than Jeremy Clarkson or King charles.

Majority of farmers voted for Brexit and also voted Tory. Therefore shot themselves in both feet. So they should squeeze them until the pips squeeze.

"Majority of farmers voted for Brexit and also voted Tory."

So how did either of those events force the new Labour government to change the inheritence tax rules for farming families?

NiceBloke 12.48 Thank you.🤣We just can't help it can we🤣

Bang on gully, and unless they can get cheap labour from overseas, they would prefer to let the crop rot in the ground, and that is what they have been doing. Plus lorries coming here with our imports are then going back empty because of Boris's oven ready deal. Its not viable for these lorries to go back empty, so there are fewer coming.
