Nice sunny one again  but not sure for how long. MrSmows not due back till late this evening so will use today to wrap  his birthday presents etc whilst he isn't in house ....Slept dreadfully - honestly don't think I've had more than 2 hours asleep, so I may well fall asleep  whilst typing this lol. Have  quite a bit to do today but no urgent rush on any of it. Anybody got  anything that needs doing today, or has to be done soon anyway? Think I've got one Amazon delivery due today - beauty of having a porch is that I rarely miss any deliveries - they just leave them in porch. Mind you, they often leave neighbours parcels too!!

We have the sun as well, always makes me feel brighter.  We managed a walk yesterday but was just under 2 miles as Mr U had enough, still a bit and down but at least he is eating again.

Hoping he can get me to the supermarket this morning, stocks are running low as I like to get fresh as often as possible.  I cannot get used to this not being allowed to drive anymore and it has been 6 months now.

You are very good getting presents for Mr Smow, we gave up years ago as we found we were only buying each other things we would get ourselves anyway,

Morning ubasses, that good that Mr U managed  the walk - that's a fair distance! And the eating again is good too, so onwards and upwards x

I know what you mean about the presents - my in-laws, who are both early 70's, gave up buying Christmas presents for each other years ago for  that very reason, so what they do now is choose something together for the house that they'd like, or something like that.
MrSmow is indeed incredibly hard to buy for but I like to make a little effort even if just for one day so I always make sure he has something to open lol. But yes it's difficult lol.

Good morning all. Sun is out here, but everything was covered in frost earlier. Taking the opportunity to go out later to get supplies for the weekend as I cannot decide from the various reports what kind of weather we will have.

Good to hear Mr U is getting better each day, we are awaiting results of biopsies for OH. It would be so good to hear what he is suffering with, and then we can start to deal with it.

Next week my car is going for MOT and insurance is due at the beginning of March so I will have to shop around for that. Goodness knows what the cost of that will be. OH was nearly 33% dearer ( but he does drive an automatic Land Rover). I now drive an automatic car and I must say it is so much easier, although I resisted it for years.

Have a good day everyone.

Morning all. Mr R was discharged from hospital yesterday so life is returning to a bit more like normal. I think we will have a quiet day today after all the travelling up and down the motorway to visit him. Good luck with the present buying Smow, I find buying for men quite difficult.

Its frosty but sunny at the moment so will stay warm indoors.

Have a happy day everyone
