A real vote-catcher this ? 🙄

Caribbean officials are demanding trillions of pounds from the UK as the Foreign Office is said to be open to reparations for slavery.

David Lammy's office is expected to meet members of the Reparations Commission of the Caribbean Community (Caricom) in April, The Telegraph has claimed.

As Derek Jameson used to say, "Do they mean us ? - they surely do."

Is a thread on this somewhere.

Why don't the Caribbean countries seek reparations from the African countries that sold the slaves to us in the first place?

How about we seek reparations for the cost in money and lives when the Royal Navy helped put an end to slavery?

what load of old pony, if anything they owe us dosh.

All the ones here should be paying us lest they be living in some African Sheet hole trying to get here anyway.

These "officials" are just trying to pull a fast one, because the UK government has, over the past few years, shown itself to be a soft touch. Why don't we demand reparations from the Italian government for Roman slavery? Why not do the same to the Nordic governments for Viking slavery? What about trying it on with the French government because of Norman slavery? Because it's simply "not the British way"!

FCO have issued a denial, although it's very strangely worded - implying that there is some truth in the telegraph report but the visit from the Caribbean won't be in the spring

Lammy is dangerously low IQ. Did you know that he's a black man, BTW?

Here's a thought. Plod says that StarmerVC( Voice Coached)  cannot be pinned for breaking the lockdown law because it is out of time! Sort of like centuries old slave reparations then?
