I've recently had a thrush which I've not seen for years also 4 long tailed tits.

How do you manage to feed live worms without the bigger birds taking them all?

I used to have a robin come on my hand for his but would like to put some out in breeding season.

The blackbird and Robin sit and wait on the fence, the blackbird comes down when I put the worms out and the robin will almost take them from my hand.

Is that the same Robin in both pics Webbo?  I'm trying to make out whether male or female.  Look more like male to me.

Yes, its the same robin, i know there are two tho, its ipossible to sex a robin unless its done by disection

Webbo you can sex a Robin if you get a good look at its face.  The Female has feathers that come to a red point over her beak whereas the Male area is sort of rounded.  Not a very good description I'm afraid but it is enough for me to be able to tell.  Learnt that many moons again when out with a birdwatching group in the North Yorkshire Dales.
