After all that fuss and rallying they've gone off the boil. That didnt last long:0) Unless they can now see KS is going to get them some better deals with the EU. :0)

We'll have to see how it goes. In 5 years we may find farmers have had to sell up to the corporates and Clarksons who will be the real winners.

Sometimes we only know what the media feed us. It's the media that goes off the boil once they've done with a story, rather than the issue itself.
100+ farmers protested only this week across the east of England but it would be local rather than national news now.

Deals with the EU or anyone else won't address the problem of the newly imposed tax on farms.

And it's now been proven that there was no £22bn black hole.

That was just...wait for it...more Labour lies...

^^^^ There wasn't but there is now (& more) will all the extra debt that Labour is taking on.

theier ill thought out policies will bite them on the backside before long

I can't see how anyone might think deals with solve the problem.  Deals are nothing to do with it.

Blackmail / threats of food shortages don't force KS into U turns. The cons went dizzy U turning. #:•)

But none of that has anything to do with deals.  The problem is the new tax.  This thread is barmy.

Great new tax, well done SK.

Not gone off the boil as you say nicebloke.  There is another rally by the farmers in westminster today.  Get your facts right please before posting things that are not true.

Some posters know what threads to start that will reel people in. Some get all their facts wrong like claiming 13000 extra police  ( a 600 % increase!) for West mercia police thanks to keir.

The bottom line is that there is little support from the public, the petition its self proves that.  There are about 200k farms in the UK of different sizes.

The petition has been signed by 149k my guess is that they will be all farmers, even if not, then they have less support from their own. Its a road to nowhere without public support.
