Is there a way of finding out on line when my MOT is due for renewal please. I know I've put this in the wong category but I thought it would get lost in motoring

dave's answer is what you asked for so deserves best answer. Mine is useful if you are looking to buy a new car as it gives the complete history including any outstanding recommendations.

On the Gov website you can sign up for MOT reminders (and it does work)

The garage where we take ours for services and MOTs send us a reminder about 6 to 8 weeks before it's due.

We've all got online calendars, takes a second to set up a recurring reminder for MOTs, insurance renewals etc. I get notifications from mine 6 weeks, 4 weeks and two weeks in advance.

Thanks theshedman . That would be useful but my garage is a one man band so not sure if he could do that, I usually put it in my diary but last year was such a god awful year that I forgot
