Very few spin-offs are any good. Joey (spin-off from Friends) was appalling, but Frasier (spin-off from Cheers) was brilliant.

Amandaland is outsanding.

Haven't watched it yet, but definitely plan to. Loved Motherland too. Hope it lives up to my expectations! 😁

I was hoping someone would recommend this. Motherland was superb, and spin offs are not always successful. I'll give it a whirl.

I believe a new series of Motherland has commissioned. Is that true?

Sadly Diane Morgan has confirmed there won;t be any more Motherland.

I was wary of Amandaland as fi ti wasn;t good it might 'ruin' Motheland for me. 

 

Fortunately Amanda land is superb, watch and you won't regret it! 😊

I've never seen any of the programmes mentioned here.  I'll give this a try.

It took a bit of patience to get into, but I persevered and have watched four episodes.  It held my interest - Joanna Lumley plays a good part - but I didn't laugh out loud once so I wouldn't call it stunning or outstanding - just mildly amusing.

I didn't find Motherland at all funny and really don't like Joanna Plumley, but I'll give it a try....perhaps 😉

I think it's probably better if you already know the characters from Motherland, Amanda is a lot to take.
