Cast Iron Fireplace

Does this give off any electro type of force and is it safe to have a cast iron fireplace, which attracts magnets?  Sorry bit of a weird question ....

We've had a cast iron fireplace for the past thirty three years and have never been attracted to it. 😉

Something else it attracts is dust. I have to vacuum mine frequently. Dries me mad!
