The symbols are numbered. Are there any numbers in the legend?

Question Author

No the picture was just taken from a news article

You should be able to see the full site plan on the council's website.  That should help.

Have you a link to the article?

Are they not google earth pins.

No

houses sold on right move ?

Something to do with services? Water pipes, sewage etc etc??

Are the numbers to show which rows of houses are being built first, second, third etc. Does number 1 look like show houses?

What's driving me nuts is there's 2 number 3s and 2 number 4s. :)

Ahh thanks Barry. Don't know why I didnt think to look on the council site. It doesnt say what the orange symbols are but it shows a lot of other detail. Cheeers

Karamia - I think youve cracked it. Yea I know now that at point number one is where the show homes are being built. Its prob just the order in which they are building them

Alba, there are two of one thing and four of another. No idea what, though. Drains, sewers, utilities.....

Question Author

But then why would they build the play area second : /

Meh I give up lol

The play area is usually the last to go up.

Blue, were the pins on the plan when you looked at the council's site?

Question Author

No they arn't Barry Ive had a close look, theres the plots, landscape marked out but nothing else

Could be totally wrong, but using my 40 odd years of experience on site, the only thing that springs to mind is the sites of boreholes and and trial pits to investigate the ground conditions (and thus what sort of foundations). I thought at first they were lamppost markers, but they seem to be placed fairly randomly (ie in gardens, on roads, in footpaths). I can't think of anything else that fits.

That could well be it, sdd.
