I have changed from British Gas to Octopus. I am £701 in credit from British Gas. Will they automatically give me a refund? I left them two weeks ago. Thanks all.

It takes ages. I was with Home Energey and switched 14th Dec. got my 500 back early Feb!

You need to chase them, otherwise it won't happen.

BG should automatically refund you...BUT they have six weeks to send you a final bill and a further 10 working days to credit your refund. So, could be up to two months!
