In a TTTocracy you'd only get the vote if you have contributed to society. Use the NI number to look up the total, they can already, if that is greater than zero you can vote. What's wrong with that? discuss.

Difficult to distinguish and prove career work shy scum from those unable to find useful employment. The scheme would be impractical to manage.  The courts would be tied up with cases contesting the disenfranchisement.

OG: "Difficult to distinguish and prove career work shy scum from those unable to find useful employment. The scheme would be impractical to manage.  The courts would be tied up with cases contesting the disenfranchisement." - if their total contribution is not negative they can have the vote. easily quatifiable using the NI number. The law would be changed so it's unchallengeable.

You're forgetting human rights law.

No chance of getting it through unchallenged.

in TTTopia the HR law would mke sense.

In tttocracy, presumably someone who is a net contributor and then retires – once their State pension payments exceed their working life contributions they would be denied the vote.

Conservative Central Office would never sign up for that; maybe an exception would be made for Tory voters.

"In tttocracy, presumably someone who is a net contributor and then retires – once their State pension payments exceed their working life contributions they would be denied the vote." - no their running total would be non negative. It's over a life time not a year. State pension would not reduce it, pension credit would. ....next

Why someone with such a brain for economics is sitting on a stained couch, in their pants and eating cold beans from the tin with a spoon is beyond me.

So basically, tttocray would disenfranchise the poor in society – Conservative Central Office would definitely sign up for that.

If you have an interest in US politics, the Republican Party is actively trying to achieve this through various voter suppression measures (State by State).

That's happening because of the labour government.

By parasites I assume you include idle rich.

Question Author

"So basically, tttocray would disenfranchise the poor in society –" - err no it would disenfranchise parasitical work shy scum, perhaps even encourage them to better themselves, is that so bad?
