"The paradise of the rich is made out of

the hell of the poor."

Victor Hugo

Happens everywhere around the world.  Greed, not need in most cases.

Miserable git.

Wise words indeed, mate!

Nothing changes, does it?!..

A verse from the song 'She was poor, but she was honest' we sometimes sang in the army (the rude version);

"It's the same the whole world over

It's the poor what gets the blame

It's the rich what gets the pleasure

Ain't it all a ******* shame."

Polite version ends with

"It's the Poor what gets the blame."

Oops! What a boob I made!

That's the second line.

The 'original' last line is;

"Isn't it a blooming shame."

And I used to sing that song in public! But at the time I was very, very drunk.

"Standing on the bridge at midnight,

Throwing snowballs at the moon,

Well, she said she was a virgin,

But she spoke too bloomin' soon."

In my youth, I heard and sang along with the same song, Atheist, but line 3 was '"She said she'd never had it - ".

Obviously a cruder, northern version!

Greed not need is a fallacy because if you shared out all the money equally before long you would again have the rich and the poor.  Some would use the money wisely and others wouldn't.  The poor will always be with us but don't blame the rich.  Blame human nature.

She stood on the bridge at midnight

Picking blackheads from her crotch

She said, "Sir, i've never had it."

He said, "No, not freakin' much."

There are times when I wish I  didn't have a vivid imagination.

Maggie, I think your thread has gone awry.
