You've been paid  amounts related  to your pension ,( in addition to your monthly pension )all of  which had tax deducted at the basic rate .

Your wages has also had tax deducted at the basic rate

However , overall all  the above added together , pre tax ,take you into the next tax band , for the financial year .

How is tax then dealt with ?

//I suggest you fill in whatever forms are necessary.//

I think if the OP goes through the HMRC questionaire it will probably say they don't need to complete a tax return.

(doesn't mean they won't be due to pay more tax though)

That rather reinforces my suggestion to fill in the forms. I would think it is better that HMRC confim no further tax is due than wonder if you have paid enough. The form will also ask if you wish to have under paid tax be taken from future years income through tax coding, or paid as a lump sum.

What form is that?

The standard tax return, a shorter form of which I have filled in for over 20 years, as I also have to report Bank Interest, Dividends and any other income, viz rental income. When working it also required P11D details. And still will have to in future years even now retired.

Having been under PAYE I have never completed a tax return & intend never to do so in future. (I worked in the Inland Revenue for 20 years!)

At that time tax returns didn't ask for preferences on how tax should be paid.

When employed my P11D benefits frequently exceeded my tax free allowance, so that plus other income required me to fill in annual tax returns. I also had to file when working as a Consultant. I cannot remember the number at the bottom of the form. At least once I had to ask an Accountant to help me.

I have EXAMINED thousands of tax returns from road workers, self-employed builders, professional partnerships up to shipping tycoons, rock stars and peers of the realm. But to be honest I find the present set up confusing and the fact that it is difficult to speak with a knowledgeable official must be frustrating.  I'm well out of it!
