Sorry I've not been on for a few days - it's just been one thing after another resulting in no sleep & splitting headache for days, am on the up tho. Hope you've all been behaving, did I miss anything?? One good thing happened tho - had a phone call yesterday afternoon from a very happy YoungSmow - he'd just passed his driving test!! He's failed twice before a couple of years ago and he just couldn't face failing again so left it completely until a couple of months ago, rebooked some lessons, and then got a test date which he didn't tell a soul about. Then as soon as he passed he rang me. Running a car is another matter/expense, but at least now he will be able to drive when he can. Hope you've all all have a great day x

Good to see you back, Smow 😊 Maybe Young Smow will now drive up to visit you?  Take it easy. x

No need to apologise, Smow, it's not a job 😁

As Barry said, no apologies are required just pleased you are improving, and a 'well done' to young Smow.

Not much happening here, been trying to get out to make final decision on new sofas but the weather has dictated otherwise and Mr U still so up and down.  Fingers crossed for today or tomorrow.

Nothing happens here but we are enjoying the signs that spring is on the way.

Morning guys, have missed your chats : )

Yes I said to Youngsmow it's not even really the cost of buying a little car, it's the insurance. But he isn't a 17yr old kid, he's 25, so hopefully it won't be quite so bad.
Started raining here yesterday, and got quite blustery, is still the same but pretty mild with it.

Morning Smow and everyone. I am glad you are feeling a bit better Smow and congratulations to young Smow, as you say insurance can be expensive for young drivers. Still, I am sure he is good at shopping around for the best deal.

Its a bit breezey here today. Nowt planned other than a grocery delivery. Older son has taken charge of the cooking today, he is a very good cook, much better than me as I tend to be "minimalist" ie the least trouble the better.

Hope you all have a happy day everyone

Hi Rosetta. Yep it's def breezy here too. Your son should see  my FIL in the kitchen - there is no such thing as a 'Simple meal'. Everything has to have every ingredient imaginable and take at least 3 hours! Drives  my MIL mad lol!

Welcome back.

I just leave the kitchen to him Smow, personlly I am a just chuck it all in in one pot kind of gal. He is only  here for his birthday weekend so it will be back to normal soon enough

Just seen this, and I'm glad to see you back Smow. I suspected it might be one of your headaches. Congratulations to young Smow.

It's grey and windy here...was hammering down earlier. We're supposed to get sun...nothing so far. No signs of spring 😢

I was going to make a quick trip to lidl/aldi. Maybe not. Other than that I've got the excitement of my Sainsbury's order later.

It hardly seems possible because In my head he is 13
