Can't understand how a guy who goes to the gym several days a week, eats sensibly, drinks alcohol occasionally, walks my dog Jay once every weekday and twice a day at weekends, suddenly doesn't come for the dog on Monday evening as usual and won't answer phone or texts etc.

I'd not seen him since he left my flat on Sunday evening and was concerned why he was not answering.

This afternoon I had two visitors who told me that J's playmate and walker had died in his office at work.  He was ony 41 years of age.  Nobody else in this block does anywhere near as much exercise and taking care of himself as he did.  Why him?

I'm not a relative, will I be able to see the post- mortem?

Yes 237 I used them a few years ago.  I found people wanted to do it now and again when they felt like it. I stopped it when my dog was found outside my front door having run from the park down the main road to his home.  He's quite old now and has slowed down a bit. I've just had an offer from someone here whilst typing this;-)

Sorted then, LB?

No I'm afraid not Tilly.  Weekend dog walkers are not easy to come by and charge circa £17/hour around here.  Got someone here for tomorrow but that's as far as I've got at the moment.

😱 yikes. There should be pensioners rates...both for elderly dogs and their elderly owners. £17 ph is criminal.

Well it would be less, but they can only hold fifteen leads at one time.

£14/hr in the week Pasta.  Dogs are expensive especially when you can no longer walk them yourself.

There are laws about how many dogs you can take out together but I'm afraid they are too often ignored or people don't know about them.
