After 14 years of disorder under a Tory Govt .....Labour are introducing 50 new crime-fighting laws. Yvette Cooper Home Secretary is set to take back UK town centres from anti-social behaviour, thugs and thieves.Giving the police more power to arrest and enter homes without a warrant and a lot more.Labour have pledged to give fighting knife crime their top priority. All these new laws are badly needed after years of Tory neglect.

The reduction of police funding over the last 14 years under Tory Control has been particularly felt in neighbourhood policing resulting in low public confidence and crimes going unreported. Due to the fact that the police do not have the resources to investigate. Now all that is going to change ...for the better of course.

"Labour have pledged to give fighting knife crime their top priority."  Yeah, look at Sadiq Khan's incredible record in London, Labour are amazing at fighting knife crime, aren't they?!  Erm...

Aye,right, gulliver, methinks you even dont believe this crap.

Of course not. With the black hole they claim how can they afford a meaningful rise  (say 20%) in police numbers.

Having said that we had it on good authority (from nicebloke1) that West Mercia police are going to increase their force ten fold at minimal cost as most will be inpaid volunteers

Police numbers fell to 120,000 ish by 2019 but have since increased steadily  to nearly 150,000 - the highest number ever & before Labour stole the GE.

Such continuous negativity on this site is really quite dispiriting.

better not look then?

"The act allows anyone stealing goods costing less than £200 to plead guilty by post - or face the magistrates' court."

Does it also have provision for interpreters built in for when miscreants are suddenly unable to understand English?

The free use of truncheons and pepper spray might deter thieves, maybe give that a try instead of putting Stern Pixie on the news to spew garbage while looking serious.

I was expecting a snide comment, davebro3 didn't disappoint.

How original....not.

"Stern Pixie"

Great description - that's a thread winner.

yeah,yeah,yeah

have you seen the flying pig yet
