//Leaked audio instructions by Greek rescue co-ordinators have cast further doubt on Greece's official version of events in the hours before a migrant boat sank along with up to 650 people onboard.

The Adriana went down in the early hours of 14 June 2023 in international waters – but within Greece's rescue zone - after leaving Libya days earlier.

Survivors later told the BBC that coastguards had caused their overcrowded fishing boat to capsize in a botched attempt to tow it and then forced witnesses to stay silent.//

Official versions are likely spun to make the authorities seem in a good light.

If they had stayed at home none of this would have happened.

A favourite phrase on Answerbank covering many topics.

Not understanding that diagram. It appears to show the boat sank in the middle of the route it took. It clearly shows the route going west past the edge of the diagram.

Here's an idea - don't put to sea in a grossly overcrowded boat, (if you do don't complain when sheet happens).

The diagram shows red and orange tracking of two vessels that went to help the boat.

The white dot is where the boat sank and the diagram doesn't show its tracking.

doesn't surprise me, the bubbles have form in this area.

"Survivors later told the BBC"  ah yes, the bastion of honest and truthful reporting.

If true, what do the leakers want or hope to gain? Doubt they'd be successful in any chargers being filed.

Im with Dougie here, what the hell were these 650 fake asylum seekers and fake refugees bringing with them that would help Europe in any way?Im sorry they died, but if they hadnt got onto this boat then probably most of them would still be alive today.Hopefully it will be a warning to others.

That's the four corners, we'll carry on for the full house now.

Ah I see. What the article stated that they spoke to the captain of the Lucky Sailor, who claimed to have asked the passengers where they wanted to go, I naturally assumed the migrants were in the Lucky Sailor.

Gets weirder & weirder. But can now see what was meant.
